According to the Federal Central Register Act, this certificate lists all previous convictions exceeding fines of three times the monthly salary or custodial sentences. Thus, minor offenses like parking are not listed. In most cases, this document can be ordered at the Citizens’ Registration Office. Two weeks after application the Certificate will be sent to your address. Some of these offices require appointments and most speak only German.
